About Chippewa Lake Watersports Association

The Chippewa Lake Watersports Association was formed in the winter of 2010.  We are a waterski club that encourages any kind of towed watersport activity on Chippewa Lake.  Our membership consists of mainly boat owners  and waterskiers that utilize Chippewa Lake.  We encourage safe and courteous boating. Our members site has a waterskier directory so you can fill that third spot in your boat when you want to ski.

In the spring of 2010 we worked with the Medina County Park district to get a permit to install the slalom course on the lake. Our slalom course is one of five public slalom courses located in Ohio. Part of our membership and sponsor funds go to insuring and maintaining the slalom course. The slalom course is public and we encourage anybody to use it. Please take the time to read about slalom course use on our website. Our Monday night slalom league allows beginning slalom skiers the chance to receive instruction on the slalom course. We also schedule a few free clinics each summer for anybody that is interested in using the course.

Beyond the slalom course we sponsor a variety of waterski clinics. We use local talented waterskiers to teach our beginner clinics and bring in professional coaches to teach advanced and intermediate clinics.

We are always looking for creative ways to encourage any type of waterskiing.  If having a slalom course available along with great waterski clinics appeals to you, please join us.
